Your pages should run under your own address, not a technical preview URL. To do that you tell your domain provider where to send visitors. It is one record, and it works permanently after that.
Requirements
Before you start: You need access to your domain DNS settings, meaning the account at your domain provider. Changes can take up to 24 hours to apply worldwide, though usually it is much faster.
Step by step
- Decide on the subdomainChoose which address you want to use. For funnels, a subdomain like go.yourcompany.com is common when your main domain already hosts a website.
- Add the domain in FinSuitesOpen the domain settings and enter the address you want. You will then see the DNS values you need to add at your provider.
- Set the DNS record at your providerLog in to your domain provider and create the record shown. For a subdomain this is usually a CNAME record. Copy the values exactly, a single extra dot or space is enough to break it.
- Verify the connectionBack in FinSuites, run the check. If it still shows an error, wait fifteen minutes and check again, DNS changes need a moment to propagate.
- Assign your pagesNow assign paths under this domain to your funnels and websites, and define which page appears at the root address.
Tip: Never change the existing record of your main domain if a website already runs there. Create a subdomain instead, which leaves the existing site untouched.
Common issues
Verification keeps failing. The most common causes are a typo or an existing conflicting record for the same subdomain. Remove old records for the same name.
The site is not reachable over HTTPS. The certificate is issued automatically after a successful connection. This can take up to an hour.
